A Brief Introduction

Who We are

TERECONET, the TESOL Research Collaboration Network – a not-for-profit professional learning community dedicated to supporting early-career TESOL teacher-researchers in Vietnam. Established in 2020, TERECONET has become a beacon of collaboration and professional development for those in the field of English language education.

Our Missions

Our activities

At TERECONET, our mission is clear: to empower and uplift early-career TESOL teacher-researchers through a multifaceted approach. We provide support to the untrained or those with minimal experience through a range of activities, including monthly online meetings, collaborative projects, data collection initiatives, manuscript reviews, workshops, and webinars. Additionally, we extend our support to classroom teachers by offering annual professional development webinars, engaging in shared knowledge projects, disseminating information through Facebook posts, and distributing research-informed newsletters.

In 2023, TERECONET proudly hosted a webinar series for researchers featuring world-renowned experts in TESOL. As part of our commitment to advancing research skills, we organized the first-ever summer school in TESOL research methods in Vietnam during the summer of 2023. This four-day event attracted over 100 participants, including students, teachers, lecturers, and researchers, further solidifying TERECONET's role as a catalyst for professional growth.

What are our visions?

TERECONET envisions a future where the collaborative efforts of early-career TESOL teacher-researchers in Vietnam are not only maximized but also extended globally. We aim to leverage the abundant resources within Vietnam while fostering international connections with colleagues worldwide. By uniting professionals in the field, we aspire to create a dynamic network that positively influences English language teaching practices and contributes to the advancement of education on a global scale.
